      Common questions

      Questions people ask before pricing

How do I calculate Stripe fees and profit margin together?

Take list price, subtract any coupon, pull out VAT if your price includes tax, then subtract Stripe fees, affiliate payout, refund reserve, and product cost. The calculator does all of that in one pass and shows the order it applied them.

Why is break-even price higher than expected?

Stripe's 2.9% plus a fixed $0.30, VAT pulled out of an inclusive price, and an affiliate cut on top stack on each other. Break-even is the minimum list price where you do not lose money on the sale.

Does this work for courses, templates, Gumroad, or a small SaaS plan?

Yes. The presets cover a one-off template, a cohort course, and an annual software plan. Edit any field if your numbers do not match a preset.
